Capricorn Dinosaur Park

Be sure to verge on caution as you discover the wrecks and remnants of the anachronistic beasts who have roared into town to become the Capricorn Coast’s latest residents. Capricorn Dinosaur Park Yeppoon is one of the Capricorn Coast’s most exhilarating new experiences. Since opening in April 2023, the Capricorn Dinosaur Park has been welcoming all ages and abilities to immerse themselves in a realistic prehistoric backdrop. The development is spread across five acres of parkland, and features 35 life-size Jurassic giants, a dinosaur fossil dig, all spread out along an interpretive 1km fully accessible walking trail. This is all complimented by the nearby Capricorn Dinosaur Mini Golf.

The largest replica dinosaurs at the park is around six metres long and around three or four metres high. The dinosaur dig has an educational component where visitors are able to go into a large sandpit-type environment and be able to get up close to the fossils and skeletons, be able to dig them up and have a look at what is involved with being a palaeontologist.
